Dorothy Ree Reese Lewis

Mrs. Dorothy Ree Reese Lewis was born March 30, 1954 in Donaldsonville, Georgia to the union of David and Dorothy Reese. She was a resident of Tampa, Florida for 67 years and educated in Hillsborough County Schools.

Dorothy enjoyed her earlier working career at the Cigar Factory in Ybor City and Tampa General Hospital before she became a homemaker. She was a free-spirited social butterfly who had a deep love for people and always wanted to share whatever she had with those she knew and did not know.

She affectionately was called Mrs. Dot, Momma or grandma and everyone always looked out for her as she did for them. She loved her family, gospel music and her community. She loved spreading the Gospel and always had a song to sing in her heart, even if she made one up.

She was preceded in death by her parents: David and Dorothy Mack Reese; siblings: brother, Avery Reese; sisters: Hazel Crystal Reese Copeland, Lesia Poole; uncle: Mr. Monroe Mack; and life-long friend, Brenda J. Williams. Mrs. Lewis leaves to cherish her memory: her two children: Mrs. Sontrivette Bayard and her husband Keith. Mr. Rudolph Holton Jr. and fiancé Monique; sister: Betty McLaughlin (Amos) Atlanta, GA; brothers: Johnny Reese, Davie Reese, Christopher Reese; grandchildren: Christopher Holton, Arielle Holton, Deedrick Daniels Jr, Justyce Tribble, Rudolph Holton III, Jordan Daniels and Rodezua Smith; great-grand children: Jeremiah Hobbs, Tyler Lynch, Princeton Paul, Deedrick Daniels III, Jazarri Holton, Malachi Daniels, Abijaah Morgan and Alayah Daniels; nephews: Ronnie Johnson (Valincia), John Reese Jr, Jolay Reese, Benjamin Copeland; nieces: Consuela “Van” Anthony and Dycie Johnson, Zemetra Reese; a host of very special nieces and nephews, cousins; and a host of special related families, Williams, Wallace and special life-long friend, Susianne Austin (Cookie).
