Mr. Sylvester " Bobby" Thomas, Jr. was born October 24, 1949 in Rosier Burke County, Georgia. He was the oldest of twelve siblings born to the union of the late Louise and Sylvester Thomas, Sr. He was educated in the public schools of Broward County, Florida. He gave his life to Christ at an early age. He moved to Tampa where he lived for more than 49 years. He met and married Vera Stokes Thomas in 1973 and to this union 6 children were born. He was the owner of Thomas Masonry, Inc. along with his brother Cleveland Thomas until his health declined.
He enjoyed various hobbies which included drag racing, bike riding, dog racing, fixing cars and trucks, gardening, watching movies and building houses.
Our dear loved one Bobby has impacted a lot of lives among his many family members, friends and associates. In which his passing will leave a huge void in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Louise and Sylvester Thomas Sr., brother Willie Thomas, sister Theresa Thomas, grandparents Cleveland and Viola Walker, William and Elizabeth Thomas.
He leaves to cherish his memories children: Katrina Thomas ( Willie), Bobby Thomas( Shantah), Daisy Thomas, Paul Thomas, Patrick Thomas ( Jessica) and April Thomas-Okupe (Israel); grandchildren: Da'Jae Thomas, Brianna Thomas, Willie Long, Jr., Tatianna George, Zaniyah Thomas, Patrick Thomas, Jr., Pharrell Thomas, Talyia Thomas, Natashia Thomas, Kyla Williams, Essynce Thomas, Aleria Thomas and Alisa Okupe; great grandchildren: Da'Jae Thomas, Jr. and Mileak Johnson; brothers Cleveland Thomas, Johnnie Thomas ( Sandra) and Harris Thomas ( Christine); sisters: Viola Frazier ( Dwain), Gloria Thomas, Katie Foreman ( Mike), Diane Smith (Alphonso), Patricia Thomas and Debra Lindsay ( James); nephews: Christopher Mattear ( Lovetta, Milton Peoples III ( Jessica), Terrence Peoples, Aaron Peoples ( Aaliyah), Xavier Lindsay, Jaylen Lindsay and Joseph Lindsay; nieces : Jacqueline Mattear, Samantha Thomas, Melissa Thomas, Sheronda Thomas and Dr. Michelle Peoples; bonus children: Porsha, Brittany, Shani, Kanika, Tamesha, Aaron and Demarcus; special friends; Chester " Bud" Barnes, Ted Trombley, Darryl Blaxton, Dan Almendares and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, bonus grandchildren and friends.
